Condado de Alhama and the Surrounding Region

The resort location was specifically chosen for it's wonderful beaches such as those at Puerto de Mazarron - a mere 15 minute drive from Condado de Alhama - for the beauty of the natural surroundings, like the Sierra Espuna national park, for the great cuisine and for the truly 'Spanish' feel of the Murcian region - so often lost on some of the more well-known Costas.

The beaches line a beautiful stretch of 250km coastline and with an average annual daily temperature of 21 degrees it's no wonder that the World Health Organization has nominated this region as one of the world's healthiest places!

Just a bit further up the coast from Mazarron you will find the Mar Menor - or Little Sea - an interior sea (the only one of it's kind in Europe) with shallow, calm, warm and salty waters.  Perfect for bathing, playing and medicinal mineral treatments.  Sailing, windsurfing and canoeing are year-round past-times on this sea with a maximum depth of only 21 feet!
